Since I can remember I've loved all things artistic. I would sing, write, sew, paint, draw, crochet, play piano and I had a little weaving loom. I still do most of those things and more. An artful life was meant to be for me.
Even at work I get to exercise my artistic side. I have an amazing career leading a team of designer/developers creating interactive learning for adults, including eLearning, mobile learning, video and audio production.
My husband and I have been together for over 20 years. He is responsible for feeding my quilting addiction. On our last vacation I was tickled pink to note how he sees things through quilters eyes (expect to see some vacation inspired quilts). We have a son and a daughter who are 19 & 20. They have helped pick fabrics, held fabrics/quilts for pictures or gazing, gone shopping at local quilt shops with me and even went a 260 mile odyssey to make sure I got all the fabric packs & pins for the NJ Shop Hop. I am truly blessed to have a family who loves me and supports everything I do.
I started quilting over 15 years ago. A couple of Alex Anderson quilt books, some fabrics from the LQS, a few weeks and I had my first quilt - a blue and white irish chain, ditch stitched in the center and hand quilted in the borders. I still love it.
Today I'm designing my own quilts, teaching others to quilt and free motion quilting in ways I couldn't have imagined all those long years ago.
Please feel free to email any questions you might have about everything quilt related.
Quilt. Create. Enjoy!
